Stefan Doyno
Stefan Doyno covers the Alfred E. Smith Houses in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
A native of New York, Stefan is happy to be back in the big city pursuing his master’s degree at Columbia Journalism School.
Stefan landed his first byline in the New York Post while he was still in high school. His time at the Post was followed by internships at WABC-TV in New York City as well as WKBW-TV in Buffalo.
As an undergraduate, Stefan produced and anchored the University of Buffalo’s widely watched weekly news broadcast for the campus television station, UBTV. His love of movies led him to major in film studies with a minor in English, and he graduated with honors.
After university, Stefan interned at MTV.com and wrote about entertainment industry trends. On the side, he launched his own flagship jewelry company called Change Rocks. The line has been carried online and in boutiques across North America, including New York City’s Serendipity 3, Zitomer and Blue Tree. In line with his entrepreneurial spirit, Stefan writes a weekly business column for AOL Patch.
