Marc Georges

Marc Georges covers the Marcy Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

He was born in Cairo but soon moved to France, then to the Unites States, and was raised in New Jersey.

Marc graduated from New York University with a double major in Philosophy and Film & Television. He then worked as a middle school English teacher in a suburb of Tokyo, Japan. After traveling throughout Asia, Marc returned to New York and worked in the film and television industry, producing commercials, short films and music videos. For the last three years, he worked as a healthcare and technology consultant for a small New York firm in downtown Manhattan.

A “news junkie,” Marc is now pursuing a Master of Science degree at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He is interested in writing about the intersection of technology and culture. Marc’s favorite philosophers are Jean-Paul Sartre, John Dewey, and John Stuart Mill. His favorite spot in New York is the Brooklyn Bridge.
