Queensbridge South is part of Queensbridge Houses – the development that is famous for housing hip hop stars like Nas and Cormega and NBA basketball players like Ron Artest and Lamar Odom. On the down side Queensbridge Houses is notorious for its drug related problems and gun shot violence. The police arrested 59 people from the development in a major crack down on drugs in 2009.
