Life Skills Through Circus

The Big Apple Circus started its 32nd season on Oct. 22 at Lincoln Center, but it’s also taking its talent uptown to Harlem. Here you can find clowning, wire walking, juggling and acrobatics. The kids of the Big Apple Circus After School Program in Harlem are training to become dynamic showmen. In May the 8- to 15-year-olds will put on their own circus — complete with professional routines, costumes and music. They will also visit their idols at the Big Apple Circus. Paris, the professional juggler, is among those role models. And he’s back to teach in his hometown.

Thanks for profiling Paris! He’s awesome, and programs like this are worth knowing about and promoting. Learning a circus talent and showing off in front of an audience is an experience kids really benefit from.
