The Albany Houses is located in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. It is bordered by Albany, St. Marks, Troy and Park Place. Built in 1950, the development consists of two clusters, Albany and Albany II. The buildings house a built-in community center that offers various services to its residents including cable television, computers, high-speed Internet, and a pool table. Famous residents include rapper Half a Mill, who was shot dead in his Albany apartment on Oct. 24, 2003.
